Budburst Data User Guide: For Educators

The Budburst team has developed a Data User Guide, a series of documents to guide educators and students as they begin to conduct investigations with Budburst data. The guide was written primarily for educators aiming to use phenology data from the national Budburst database in their classrooms. However, it includes information addressing the use of other types of Buburst data.

The guide consists of 3 parts:

1. Overview: Using the Budburst Database: This document provides an overview of how to use Budburst data, from formulating appropriate research questions to prepping raw data for analysis. It links to the documents below, which provide more detail on specific sections.

2. Accessing Budburst Data: This document describes how to access, search, filter, and download Budburst data from your personal account, your Groups, and the national database.

3. Downloaded Budburst Data Files (Metadata): This document provides a detailed description of all data found in files downloaded from our database.
